How are you all ? Hopefully you are all fine and well . I am also fine and good by the grace of Allah.

Seeing the contest thumbnail made my mouth water and instantly revived so many childhood memories; those were truly the days when we used to squabble with our siblings over the food we ate.

During my childhood, I absolutely loved a particular type of candy or sweetmeat known in Punjabi as "Tangri".

Every year during the wheat harvest—when my father and uncle were busy reaping the crop and my mother would take meals out to them—women would arrive to sell "Tangri.

They would exchange a basket full of these sweets for a large sack of wheat.

Upon returning from school, my cousins and I would drop off our bags at home and race straight to the fields; since our fields were close by, we would feast on "Tangri and have a wonderful time.

Those were such lovely days and precious moments—racing each other there and enjoying the treat. If we ever missed a day of going to the fields, Mother would bring some back for us, tucked away in the cloth used to wrap the rotis.

Childhood Lovely 💕 Days:

Those childhood days were truly magnificent, and even now, I can still taste the "Tangri" on my tongue.

It is rarely seen these days; wheat is no longer harvested manually by the family but is done by paid laborers, so the "Tangri" sellers rarely appear. However, if I happen to visit the city and spot it somewhere, I make sure to ask Mother and buy it.
