Some more paintings from yesterday and today. I have to travel later in the week, so I won’t be painting on those days. That’s unfortunate because I have to make up the difference else lose vacation time. So I’ll get up at 4:30 a.m. and try to get at least 5 complete by late morning. We have visitors, so it will be tough row to hoe if I plan to also be a good host. Hence the early mornings.
When I hit 1000, I’ll probably go on to different things. I really don’t know how @jompiy keeps up with the work and the selling. I’ll need to get into a rhythm with the painting and force myself on the business end of things at some designated time weekly.
Wish me luck! Wish me stamina!

Did you make it? Such a stress to be able to have a visitor and leaving for a dat or two.

I did! And it was!
Now I am back, fresh to begin tomorrow. However, the week is shortened for another week long trip. THIS is where I take your advice and schedule time off:)
Thank you!!!

What counts is that you sound enthusiastic and feel fresh.
Small smaller ones and scheduling will surely help. You can be proud you make day after day.
Enjoy everything you do.

Thank you!
No more pride, please. It’s fleeting and comes with a hangover. I just want to push through with my “burden” like a happy, well-fed ass:)

I would love to know the story behind the red one

Thank you for noticing. I forgot the title, and just updated it.
Often words block the reality of whatever it is we’re looking at. I could never name all the special hues and shades of red in the cat, so the title is a reference to how human potential and understanding can be retarded by the illusion of words. As Alan Watts wrote, and I paraphrase, “When we say ‘this is a man’, pointing to a man, what we actually are saying is this is the sound man when I point at this thing. Words hinder meaning and are never enough to ‘show’ a thing as it is. As symbolization they help us communicate and navigate our way through the world.
You asked for meaning behind the “red” one. I’ll say the sound “Hell Cat” and name the 38 reddish colors:)
When I’m not painting, I like to read up on “Eastern” philosophy.
Thank you!
