The Dairy Game Friday, August 14, 2026 || A Beautiful Morning in Our Jute Field
Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
I hope you are all doing well. Today, I would like to share a simple but beautiful experience from my daily life a morning spent in our agricultural field during the jute harvesting season.Jute is known as the “Golden Fiber of Bangladesh,” and today I had the opportunity to witness its harvesting process very closely and capture some beautiful moments through my camera.
How My Morning Started
---
I woke up at around 7:00 AM this morning. Shortly after I got up, my mother came to me and told me that two workers had been hired to harvest the jute from our agricultural land.We have only a small amount of jute cultivation this year approximately 7 kathas of land. Although the area is small, every crop is valuable to a farmer because behind every harvest lies a lot of hard work, patience, and hope.
My mother asked me to get ready quickly, go to the field, observe how much jute had been harvested, and check how the workers were doing. But she also gave me another responsibility. She prepared food for the workers with her own hands and asked me to take it to them so they could have a good meal and continue their hard work with renewed energy.
A Meal Made with Mother's Love
---
Early in the morning, my mother prepared hot khichuri with fried eggs for the workers. There is something special about food prepared by a mother. It is not only about taste the food carries her care, love, and affection.I packed the freshly cooked meal and left for the field. I reached there at around 8:30 AM.In our area, agricultural workers usually work from approximately 6:00 AM until noon. Their work is physically demanding, and along with their wages, providing them with one meal during the working day is also part of the arrangement.
The Beautiful Scene at the Field
---
When I arrived at the field, I was immediately fascinated by the scene in front of me.Tall, green jute plants were standing closely together across the field, gently moving with the breeze. In some areas, the jute was still standing, while in other places, freshly harvested stalks had already been laid neatly on the ground.
The two workers were working with great concentration. They carefully held the jute plants together and used sharp agricultural tools to cut them near the base. After cutting, they arranged the stalks neatly and placed them on the ground.Watching them work made me realize how much skill, experience, patience, and physical effort are involved in agricultural work.
Even the Jute Leaves Are Useful
---
Another interesting thing caught my attention while I was there.A worker from a neighboring field came to our land and was separately collecting the leaves from the upper parts of the jute plants. The reason is simple the tender jute leaves can be used as feed for cattle and goats. So instead of letting the leaves go to waste, he was collecting them to take home. This is one of the beautiful aspects of rural life. In agriculture, very little goes to waste. Different parts of a crop can often be useful in different ways.
As I watched the workers, I felt that these beautiful rural moments deserved to be preserved. So I tried to capture different scenes with my camera the tall green jute plants, the workers harvesting the crop, the freshly cut stalks lying across the field, and the peaceful atmosphere surrounding everything. These photographs are more than just pictures to me.They represent hard work, rural life, agriculture, nature, and the deep connection between people and the soil.
The Golden Fiber of Bangladesh
---
Jute is proudly known as the Golden Fiber of Bangladesh. For generations, jute has been an important part of our country's agricultural heritage and rural economy. Even today, it remains deeply connected to the lives of our farmers. From planting the seeds and taking care of the plants to finally harvesting them, every stage requires patience and hard work.Standing in the middle of the field today, watching the harvesting process with my own eyes, I felt a renewed appreciation for the farmers and agricultural workers who work tirelessly to produce what we depend on.

Perhaps today was just an ordinary Friday in my life, but it became a memorable day because of the simple beauty of rural life.Waking up in the morning, receiving my mother's freshly cooked khichuri, carrying food to the workers, watching them harvest our jute, and finally capturing those moments through photography all of these little experiences made my day special.Sometimes, the most beautiful stories are found not in extraordinary places, but in the simple moments of everyday life.Today, I once again felt the beauty of our connection with the land, agriculture, and the people who work tirelessly with their hands.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these moments from our jute field. How did you like my photographs and today's diary? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.Stay safe, stay happy, and always respect the farmers and hardworking people who contribute so much to our lives.
