The Gift of Humanity

The Last Piece of Bread
A poor boy came home every evening. One day, he had only one piece of bread. He was very hungry and thought that he would eat it and go to sleep.
On his way home, he saw an old man sitting by the roadside. The old man had not eaten anything for many hours.
The boy looked at his bread, then looked at the old man. He remained silent for a few moments. Then he broke the bread into two pieces and gave half to the old man.
The old man smiled and said,
“Son, today you did not just give me bread. You restored my faith in humanity.”
The boy went home. That night, he had less food than he needed, but his heart was filled with a strange sense of peace.
The next morning, while he was looking for work, a man called him and offered him a job. That job became the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
That day, the boy understood something important:
“Kindness may not always come back immediately, but sooner or later, it brings light into our lives in one way or another.”
Lesson:
You do not have to be rich to help someone in need. Sometimes, one small act of kindness can change someone’s entire world.
