The Vibrant Traveler of Old Phuket Town

The best thing about photos is how I can take you on a journey to a different country every time without you ever getting tired.

This time, we are heading to Thailand.

On the first day of our trip with three of my friends, I told them, "I need to take one day for myself to go exploring and photography."
The beauty of this trip was that none of us forced the others to stay together all the time.
We had our own styles; some preferred shopping, some loved relaxing with a massage, others wanted to stay by the pool, and I, of course, wanted to hunt for frames with my camera.

Before the trip, I searched online and saw that Phuket Old Town is incredibly beautiful. So, I started my day with a long walk, and then I took a taxi directly to the Old Town. It was so charming, colorful, and vibrant a photographer's dream.

There were so many scenes to capture that I will share them with you over time. Phuket Old Town is famous for its unique Sino-Portuguese architecture, a mix of Chinese and European styles that gives the streets a very special, historic feel. It was once a hub for the tin mining industry, and that wealth helped build these beautiful, colorful shophouses that you see today.

While I was wandering through those colorful alleys, I spotted a tourist with a dark complexion. I honestly love the look of people with darker skin tones; I find it so striking and different.

Where he was standing created a perfect contrast against the background, making him pop out immediately. I took the photo quickly because I knew I could crop and adjust the frame later.
