Today I will share with you an ongoing security incident of Cosmos EVM module and its possible impact on Steem Virtual Machine (SVM).

In this case, we see that many incidents have occurred and if we look carefully at all the security incidents that are here, we will see that many things will happen here and what happened here I will share with you today and you will know everything in detail here

Since Cosmos EVM is part of the technology stack used for EVM compatibility of SVM, the issue is also important for SVM.

Cosmos Labs has advised the relevant Cosmos EVM chains to halt the network with validators if necessary, until the issue is resolved.

However, the full technical details have not been published here yet, in addition to which chains have been compromised, the total damage is not yet known, but I think it will not be much damage.

SVM is created:

Based on Cosmos EVM + Cosmos SDK + CometBFT.

So if there is a vulnerability in Cosmos EVM, which version of SVM is being used and which precompile is enabled, it is very important. And considering this important aspect, we are moving very well to make it work here.

Validators / Node Operators who are there are requested to always be ready to take the necessary steps and those who are doing this work here should update it only when asked to do so.

If you follow the official updates of the SVM development team, you can do these very easily and the developers who are here will have done everything here and everything that has been done here has been done with a lot of thought and experience.

Cosmos Labs has not yet published a public remedy, permanent patch or full incident report. Therefore, the key is to wait until the official technical details are released for a definitive risk assessment.
