The biggest news of this update is that the v0.0.4 security upgrade of SVM testnet has been successfully completed. According to Proposal 2, the chain halt was applied at the specified block height, security patches were applied, and then block production has successfully resumed.

Security has been strengthened here through this update and the proposal two that we shared with you here is also now working quite well with security and block production has started quite well.

This is important because for the coordinated upgrade, the validators had to stage the binary in advance. The successful execution showed that Cosmovisor staging and validator coordination worked.

Everything is working fine here but some validators are now in jail due to missing their blocks which prevents them from doing any work they need to do but if they take some steps here it will be fixed

They need to do three main things to get back into the active set:

1️⃣ Node Binary Update
Validator node needs to be updated to v0.0.4 steemvmd binary.

2️⃣ Oracle Client Update
New fields have been added for withdrawal payout attestations in v0.0.4:

  • amount_millisteem
  • asset

So using an old oracle client may result in attestations being rejected. Update the latest oracle code and restart the daemon.

3️⃣ Validator Unjail
Once the node is synced to the current block height and the oracle client is running, an unjail transaction needs to be submitted for the validator.

After the v0.0.4 security upgrade is successful, the SVM team's next big milestone is the Sherpa Protocol smart contracts deployment.

When all our Valley Datars are active here, we will be able to deploy our Sherpa protocol here and in a very short time we are going to achieve the biggest milestone and will share it with you all after doing everything very well.
