The Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) Testnet has reached a significant milestone in its development journey. After maintaining network stability for an extended period, the deployment of Sherpa Protocol smart contracts on the SVM Testnet is now underway.

This marks a crucial transition for the SVM; the network is moving beyond its role as a foundational EVM layer to experimentally function as a DeFi environment.
