The Taiwanese people have inherited a warrior spirit and will not let anyone take away their freedom

The Lord says of the people of Taiwan: I have given them a warrior spirit, which they inherited from the people of Japan. That is a lasting legacy left behind by the Japanese colonial period. I redeem all things, what the enemy meant for evil I turn to good.

It is a spirit that is only stoked when pressed, faced with adversity. The freedom enjoyed was hard fought and they will not let anyone take it away from them.
