There is a special joy in creating something new using discarded items. With this thought in mind, I created a beautiful flower vase using old clothes, an empty cardboard tube, paper, paint, and glue. It did not require buying any new items. Below are the steps of my work with pictures.

Step 1:

Gather the necessary materials
First, I gathered an empty cardboard tube, pieces of old colorful cloth, some paper, glue, scissors, different colored paints, pencils, and a few small beads. The materials I used are shown in the picture.

Step 2:

Prepare the cardboard tube
We cut an old cardboard tube to the required size. Then we wrap the old red and patterned cloth neatly around the outside of the tube and glue it. This makes the ordinary cardboard tube look attractive.

Step 3:

Make a flower design
I draw flower and leaf designs of different sizes using green, white, and red paper. Then I carefully cut them out with scissors. I decorate the flowers by adding small beads in the middle.

Step 4:

Paste the flowers and leaves
I arrange the cut flowers and leaves in different places in the vase as desired and glue them. I put a big red flower in the front and white and green flowers on top. This makes the vase look more colorful and beautiful.

Step 5:

Paint and final decoration
I paint the flowers and leaves to make the designs clearer if necessary. After everything is thoroughly dry, I use the pen holder to store pens, pencils, and other writing materials.

This craft cost me almost nothing to make. I am so happy to be able to make something useful and beautiful using old clothes and discarded cardboard. To me, this is not just a pen holder, but a beautiful example of creativity and recycling.

Yes, I really liked this week's topic. The experience of creating something new using old and discarded things was enjoyable and educational. I was able to create my own designs through cutting and pasting. It allowed me to enhance my creativity and handwork skills. I also understood the importance of recycling. It was a really nice experience for me.
