SC-33/W1| "paper art painting"

Hope you all are well. Today I am presenting my new creation in this beautiful Paper Art Crafting Challenge. This time I have made a unique dress design with thin strips of colored paper. In this art, a beautiful girl is silhouetted and her dress is decorated with colorful paper quilling. This activity was not only interesting but also enhanced my creativity.

Material used

White card sheet
A4 paper of different colors
Scissors
Scale
Pencil
The glue
Black paint or marker colours
Paper roll making tool (or pencil)

Step by step procedure

Step 1

First I made a simple pencil silhouette of a girl on a white card sheet and then highlighted it with black acrylic paint.

Step 2

After that, the paper of different colors is cut into thin strips with the help of a scale to get ready for quilling.

Step 3

Carefully roll all the colored strips and shape them into small round circles. Apply glue to the edge of each roll to strengthen it.

Step 4

When enough colored rolls were ready, I first made the outline of the dress and then started gluing the rolls one by one in order.

Step 5
Gradually the entire dress was filled with rolls of different colors. Careful attention was paid to the arrangement of every colors so that the design looks more elegant, unique, perfect and balanced.

Step 6

Finally I also created a colorful butterfly using different marker colours in front of the girl to add a sense of life and beauty to the artwork.

Did I have fun making this paper art?

Yes, this activity was very interesting and enjoyable for me. It was great to see the rolls of different colors tied together to form a dress. Finally, when the entire design was completed, it was a great pleasure to see the result of my hard work.

What was the most difficult phase?

The most difficult task for me was to prepare paper rolls of the same size. If the roll becomes too loose or too tight, the beauty of the design will suffer. Similarly, a lot of care was needed to glue all the rolls in proper order inside the garment.

My opinion

Paper art is a very great creative innovative activity that develops patience, focus and a sense of beauty to thinking always differently. Very unique and creative art can be created even with inexpensive materials which is easily available at home. This challenge gave me to the opportunity to learn new techniques, exploring the world of art and sharing my art and talent with others and I will definitely participate in such creative competitions in the future.
