Shipwreck at Heron island Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
It's been a minute since my last post. But last month I was lucky enough to visit Heron island off the coast of Gladstone in Queensland Australia.
And as the ferry approaches the island we were greeted by a shipwreck at the start of the channel.
Heron island is now home to the HMAS Protector and acts as a breakwater for the channel into Heron island.
This rusty old girl was built in 1884 and served as one of Australia's first naval warships.
But now calls Heron Island home.
It is absolutely amazing to snorkel as it's home to an abundance of marine life
Stay tuned for a blog about Heron island 🤿🐠🐟🏝️🌴
