Serie A Matchday 9: A Weekend Full of Goals and Unexpected TwistssteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello everyone, and welcome to all Steem readers
If there is one thing Matchday 9 has reminded us, it is that Serie A rarely follows a predictable script. This round produced 43 goals, some impressive performances and a few results that nobody could simply ignore. Inter and Lazio are still sharing first place, Roma remain close, and Como and Frosinone are making this season even more interesting. At the same time, Milan and Juventus both suffered defeats, while Napoli finally found a convincing response.

Inter did what they needed to do against Venezia. The Nerazzurri won 2-0, helped by two own goals, and collected three important points. Lazio chose a very different route: a spectacular 6-2 victory away to Sassuolo. Noslin scored twice, while Taylor, Isaksen, Floriani Mussolini and Zaccagni also got on the scoresheet. The result leaves both clubs on 25 points, but their strengths are not identical. Inter have been more prolific in front of goal, whereas Lazio have conceded only seven times. It is an exciting balance, and neither side can afford to relax.

Roma kept their momentum with a 4-2 win over Cagliari. Lulli, Pisilli, Mora and Malen scored for the Giallorossi, while Nzola and Maldini tried to keep the visitors in the contest. The capital club now have 21 points. Como are only one point behind after an excellent 3-1 away win against Torino. Ramon, Nico Paz and Baturina made the difference, confirming once again that this team has more than enthusiasm to offer. Fourth place after nine rounds is a strong statement, and the next matches will tell us how far Como can go.

Bologna delivered one of the biggest surprises of the weekend by winning 4-2 at Milan. Mbangula was unstoppable, scoring three times, and Bartesaghi's own goal added to the visitors' advantage. Cissé scored twice for Milan, but the home side could not turn the match around. Juventus also had a disappointing evening, losing 2-0 to Genoa. Ehizibue and Baldanzi scored the goals that decided the game. These results are a reminder that reputation alone does not win matches: every team must earn its points on the pitch.

Napoli responded with a 4-1 victory at Monza. Hojlund, Politano, Rafa Marin and De Bruyne all found the net, while Varela scored for the hosts. It was the kind of result Napoli needed to regain confidence. Frosinone went even further, beating Lecce 5-1. Cichella, Calò from the penalty spot, Raimondo and Birligea, with two goals, produced a convincing performance. With 17 points, Frosinone are now sixth. It is one of the most interesting stories of this early season, especially when we consider the teams they are competing with.

There were two more draws: Parma and Udinese finished 0-0, while Fiorentina and Atalanta shared a 2-2 result. The goals in Florence came from Njie and João Mário for the home team, and De Ketelaere and Zalewski for Atalanta. The table now has Inter and Lazio level on 25 points, Roma on 21 and Como on 20. Milan follow with 18, then Frosinone with 17. Napoli and Juventus both have 14, but Napoli are ahead on goal difference. At the other end, Venezia are still struggling with only three points. Nine rounds have passed, but there is already plenty to discuss.
