El Baile del Que Se Rieron

in Venezolanos Steem • 12 days ago

Veo a Anna y Thomas.

The Dance They Laughed At

When I look at this painting, I don't just see a dance lesson. I see Anna and Thomas.

They fell in love very young. He was 17, she was 16. People in their town said it would not last. They said they were too young to know love. Some laughed. Some said Thomas should focus on work, Anna should focus on school.

But they stayed.

This room in the painting is their moment. It is their first ballroom lesson together. See how everyone is sitting and watching? That is how their life was. Everyone watching, everyone waiting for them to fail. The couple in the middle looks nervous, but they are holding hands tight. They are not looking at the crowd. They are looking at each other.

Months passed. Thomas got a small job. Anna finished her class. They did not argue with people. They just kept showing up, kept dancing their own dance.

And slowly, the same people who disagreed started to change. The same mouths that laughed started to cheer. In the painting, you can see some people are now smiling, leaning forward.

Because love that is young is not always foolish. It is just early. And when it is real, even the crowd that judged you will one day clap for you.

The couple focuses on each other and their own happiness. Other people will always be around to give their opinions, but when they cannot influence others, they have no choice but to adjust. It is like passing by a farm and seeing a door in the middle of the field; initially, everyone looks, gossips, and even laughs, but the owner placed it there for a reason...their own. The others either accept it or keep murmuring forever, which never truly happens; they will always seek out the next victim who allows themselves to be influenced.

What I love about this couple is that they didn't fight the noise, they outgrew it.

In the beginning love needs defense, you feel like you have to explain yourselves to everyone, prove that you are real, that you will last. But real love doesn't need a lawyer. It just needs two people who agree to stay.

It is said that love is a very beautiful feeling, but it all depends on the experiences of those who have been in love.

Hermoso texto, @beckymia.

Me encantó leerte.

You're right, many times people judge not with truth, but with their own wounds. Anna and Thomas remind us that love doesn't need permission, it needs commitment. While they were dancing, the world was watching, but they understood that watching is not the same as living. Their story is not just about love, it's about courage.

It's true, some loves don't need time to be deep, they need conviction. The hardest part wasn't loving each other, it was staying firm when no one else believed in them. And they did it. Because when two people know who they are and where they are going together, the noise from the outside becomes just that, noise.

Terimakasih temanku atas undangannya semoga anda beruntung ya, cerita yang sangat bagus

Terima kasih kembali atas apresiasinya. Senang kamu menyukai ceritanya.

Thank you again for your appreciation. I'm glad you liked the story. It's true, Anna and Thomas teach us that when two hearts walk in the same direction, no invitation of doubt needs to be answered.

Benar sekali 👍
