Este distinguido artista plástico nació el 14 de agosto de 1850 en Ipswich, Suffolk.
Fue el hijo menor de la familia Cotman. Tanto sus tíos como sus hermanos mayores eran pintores.
Estudió en la Escuela de Arte de Ipswich.
Su carrera como artista plástico transcurrió en Londres. Fue miembro fundador de la Escuela de pintores de Norwich.
Contrajo nupcias con Ana Sarclay Graheme.

This distinguished artist was born on August 14, 1850, in Ipswich, Suffolk.
He was the youngest child in the Cotman family; both his uncles and his older brothers were painters.
He studied at the Ipswich School of Art.
His career as an artist unfolded in London. He was a founding member of the Norwich School of painters.
He married Ana Sarclay Graheme.

Hi @solperez thank you for continuing the contest of writing and for introducing us Artists and their work. It is nice to see many old and new names and we are reading many different stories when we look at one painting. It is great to have imagination and creativity and that we are all different.
