Steem vs Hive

Well after all Hive is Steemit's direct rival, so I think a look at their prices seems to me to be the right thing to do. For a long time Hive had a better price than Steem, not by much but always higher. So a few minutes ago when I looked at coinmarketcap.com, I was more than a little surprised to see Steem having a higher price than Hive. Now, mind you, we are talking about tenth or hundredth of a cent, but still it is interesting. Here are the screenshots:

This is not very good news, because being ahead in a market that is tanking is not the flex you might think it is. The truth is, both tokens are in pretty bad shape, but Steem has managed to build up slightly. I have a 3,000 staked Steem account and its value has gone up from $125.00 to $143.00, which is good. My Hive account is so small that the difference in the last few weeks is bearly a couple of cents.

Frankly I have my doubts about these tokens going to much up in price, I think AI will decimate these types of platforms. Still I haven't given up and there are probably thousands who are still working these platfomrs. I think the sweet spot is $0.10 per token for either Steem or hive, if these tokens reach this price and stabilize there, I think things might work out.

Things are actually not as gloomy as they were in early August, I will settle for small increases in value, it is way better than stagnation or implosion.
