For this past Eid, I decided to treat myself by making a wonderful assortment of traditional Moroccan sweets, prepared with great care and high quality. I used precise and premium ingredients, starting with date-filled pastries known as Maamoul, along with Baklava made using my own homemade crushed almonds, and beautifully shaped Sablé cookies with various unique decorations. Of course, I also made the famous Moroccan Kaab El Ghazal (gazelle horns), crafted with almonds and Arabic gum , These Moroccan sweets are a huge hit with people here in Mauritius—especially the Baklava and Kaab El Ghazal.
