Annie and her grandchildren
Hello my dear Steemians,
|Granny Annie was “very rich”, she had 4 young grandchildren and she was very happy to have once again live in her life. There were 3 grandsons Mike, Pete and Scotty but also a lovely granddaughter Leah, they were from her 4 children, they all are similar ages just with difference of one and two years. The children are all busy with their work and often they ask Annie to look after their children.
Annie lives in country side and in summer time there is a paradise for kids especially when they are all together there. They can run bar feet, in light clothes, of course they should cover the head with hats because they might have sun stroke.
The kids also love being with their grandma because they love to have time together, it is almost like children camp. The children also love music, they play instruments in their school, therefore when they come home but also visiting their grandmother they bring their instruments and make concerts.
Today they are again with Annie, after lunch they all went outside for play and Annie was enjoying her free moment where she decided to catch up on her knitting work. That is also the time that she is enjoying peace, she always knitting something for her grandchildren, usually she prepares some Christmas knitted clothes and she starts already in summer.
While she was thinking about the result of her knitting just know she heard the steps of her grandchildren running into the room, they had their own instruments and announced:
“Granny, granny… We have beautiful music and wanted to play it for you” – they were all very excited that she is able to present that to her granny. Everyone wanted to be loud and to be heard, despite of trying hard and listening, it was the moment that she finally closed her ears with hands and said: “Please, a bit quiet or you make your granny deaf” The kids burst with laughter and had to stop playing.

In their innocence, the children wanted her to feel proud, but she simply cannot hide her true reaction: that’s not music , it’s noise! Hahaha.

Yes, I also agree that every child would like to be the best among their siblings. I can imagine that we always had such competition. , even very good granparents have their limit :)

Thank you for your lovely comment, I recall the time when we were children and we had a lot of fun together with other siblings, for us it was like nothing bad but just a bit noisy but I can recall the face of my granny when she was finally happy to see my mother who was there to pick us up. She probably had such a relief and enjoyed the peaceful moment after us :)

I think for grandparents the moment of having their grandchildren there is one of the revival moment to feel again that happy moments and maybe for this time they also feel young. My grandmother was really very happy having us there and she did everything, spoiled us of course, we were aware about that and never overused her trust and kindness. I hope that I also will experience the same when I am old too.

I think Anne really enjoyed being with her grandchildren, it is like to become a child again, I think our grandparents enjoy that because they know that such moments will be there but kids will be grown quickly :)

I can imagine that it was much more difficult when all the kids were much younger, that might have been too busy and difficult. I think now she is really enjoying hte kids because now they can play with each other and she could have some time for herself, maybe for short time but still beter than nothing.
