[ESP/ENG] La hermosa mantis religiosa/ The beautiful praying mantis.
Hola queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad, hoy les hablaré sobre esta bella mantis religiosa la cual encontré en el jardín, debo decir que es super tranquila y me dejó tocarla.
Son animales interesantes y que mantienen el control de otros animalitos que atacan las plantas, yo al verlas en mi jardín las dejo tranquilas.
Debemos cuidar su población ya que no abundan mucho, algunas de ellas poseen depredadores que las esperan en cualquier sitio y las atacan desprevenido.
Ella es muy hermosa y los colores que posee son unos de mis favoritos, tienen la habilidad para camuflarse y podemos encontrar una gran variedad de ellas.
Hello, dear friends of this wonderful community! Today, I’d like to share something about a beautiful praying mantis I found in my garden. It was incredibly calm and even let me touch it.
These are fascinating creatures that help keep populations of plant-damaging animals in check; whenever I spot one in my garden, I make sure to leave it be.
We should look out for them, as they aren’t very common. They face various predators that lie in wait, ready to strike when they least expect it.
This one is truly lovely, and its colors are among my favorites. They have an amazing ability to camouflage themselves, and there is a great variety of them to be found.
Son elegantes y muy llamativas, poseen muchas habilidades que la hacen sobresalir de otros animales, los grillos le tienen miedo al igual que las lagartijas.
Les encanta vivir en las hojas verdes, es un espacio que ella puede utilizar muy bien y no dejarse de cualquiera, yo la tome un rato y ella colaboró en las fotografias.
Al terminar la deje sobre una amplia hoja de corazón y aproveche a tomar otras fotos, de pequeña las he agarrado y colocado en su lugar.

They are elegant and very striking, possessing many abilities that make them stand out from other animals; even crickets and lizards are afraid of them.
They love living among green leaves—an environment they navigate with great skill, and they certainly don’t let just anyone handle them. I held one for a while, and it cooperated for the photographs.
When I was finished, I placed it on a large, heart-shaped leaf and took a few more photos. I’ve been picking them up and returning them to their natural spots since I was a child.

Mirá, esa hoja de corazón donde la dejaste me hizo pensar en cómo uno a veces mueve una criatura de lugar sin saber si era el suyo. Yo también las dejo tranquilas en el jardín, aunque confieso que de chico las agarraba sin pensar. Es así nomás, uno aprende a cuidar lo que antes solo miraba.
Qué onda con la foto donde está sobre la hoja de corazón, se ve literal como posando jaja. Nunca había pensado en que los grillos le tengan miedo, aunque tiene sentido siendo depredadora. ¿La dejaste en el jardín de vuelta o te la llevaste a otro lado?
Me llamó la atención que la dejaras sobre una hoja de corazón al terminar, queridos hermanos, porque en mi experiencia ese gesto pequeño dice mucho de cómo cuidamos lo que el Señor puso en nuestro camino. Y sí, las mantis son sigilosas cazadoras; da gusto saber que alguien las respeta en vez de espantarlas.
