The immersive experience at teamLab in Tokyo - Part 1

in #art • 17 hours ago

One of the most technology fascinating place that I have visited is this place teamLab Tokyo. It's an art immersive museum, with variety of experiences. One such room is this Body Immersive - where you balance your weight while walking on the floating stones through the room. The room is dark and the floor is not visible; you can only see the floating stones on which you step one after another balancing yourself and move from one end to another. There is art projection on the walls and water which look so much alive.

It's a physical and digital experience together. When we step on the floating stone, it creates a ripple of light. You feel like you are walking inside a falling universe. On the walls you see these Jellyfish-like forms that interact with you. When we stand still, they all gather up and as we move, they scatter out. On the wall there are projections of microorganisms, jellyfish and planktons in neon blue, pink and purple light.

Truly a wonderful experience. Sharing some pictures.
