Things We All Pretend We Don't Do... But We Definitely Do

in #blog17 days ago

Let's be honest for a minute. As human beings, we spend a surprising amount of energy pretending we're perfectly normal. We smile, nod, and act like we have our lives together.

But deep down... We all have those little habits we'd rather not admit.😂
So today, let's expose ourselves just a little.

😭 Opening the Refrigerator Every 10 Minutes Like New Food Will Magically Appear

You checked the fridge five minutes ago. Nothing changed.
Yet somehow your brain whispers, "Maybe this time."
Spoiler alert: the leftover adobo is still the leftover adobo. lol.

😭 Rehearsing an Argument That Never Happens

You're in the shower. Suddenly, you're giving the greatest speech in human history.
You've got facts.
You've got confidence.
You've won the imaginary debate 12 times already.

Then you meet the person in real life...
"...Hi."

😭 Pretending to Read the Terms and Conditions

We don't read them.
We scroll faster than an Olympic athlete.

Then we confidently click: "I have read and agree."

Read? Absolutely not.

😭 Smelling Your Shirt Before Deciding If It's Clean Enough

The washing basket is right there.
But maybe...
Just maybe...
This shirt has one more day left in it.

One quick sniff is all the scientific evidence you need.

😭 Reading Old Conversations Like They're Historical Documents

Sometimes you're not even looking for anything. You're just scrolling through messages from three years ago, wondering:

"Wow... I really said that?"

It's like watching a documentary starring your younger self.

But you see, behind every responsible adult is someone who's searched for their glasses while wearing them, talked to themselves in the shower-- even became a singer, or opened the fridge for absolutely no reason.

And honestly? That's what makes us human.

So don't worry we're all a little weird.
Some of us are just better at hiding it.

How about you? What's one thing you pretend you don't do... but absolutely do?

I completely relate to the "rehearsing an argument that never happens" - I've done that before in the shower, and it's hilarious to think about how differently that conversation would actually go in real life 😂💬👍

We're all guilty! 🙋‍♀️🤣
