Perhaps the most tragic figures in this saga are @hivepope and @jacobtothe. They present themselves as moral authorities, preaching against "abuse" and "spam." @hivepope publishes sermons on "Excommunication Vitandus," while @jacobtothe acts as the enforcer, wielding the downvote like a gavel.
But the blockchain reveals the truth:
- @hivepope receives consistent, maximal support from @jacobtothe.
- @jacobtothe is part of the same farming network as @buildawhale.
- They use their moral authority to justify the suppression of those who expose their farming practices.
They are not shepherds. They are wolves in shepherd’s clothing.
The Scoop on Joy
Joy is not a secret. It is not hidden in a vault. It is scattered in plain sight. A hot shower. A good book. A dog’s greeting. We miss it because we are looking for the blockbuster, not the local color. Success chases the big win. Happiness collects the small wins. Today, go looking for the scoop on joy. Find three small things that make you smile. Write them down. Publish them in your memory. They are the real news.
The Fact-Check of Self-Talk
We tell ourselves stories: I’m not smart enough. I’m too old. It’s too late. These are not facts. They are opinions disguised as truths. A good reporter checks the facts. Today, fact-check your negative self-talk. Where is the evidence? Usually, there is none. Only fear. Replace the opinion with data. I have learned hard things before. I have adapted. I am capable. Truth is liberating. Lie to yourself, and you build a prison. Speak truth, and you build a foundation.
