An even sexier modified VF-3 (Vinfast EV car)

in #car • 15 hours ago

I'm always on the lookout for these cars when I am walking around but I guess the push to get them into the garages (who am I kidding, nobody has a garage) ok the yards of people who are middle-class has been successful because these little VF-3 cars used to be quite a rare find but these days it seems as though there are a couple of them parked on ever single street.

We'll have to wait to see if the batteries hold up but if they do a $10,000 brand new car in this day and age is a pretty fantastic deal.

They are very basic right off the dealership lot, but customizing these things has become very popular. I found a really nice looking one that didn't rely overly on decals but just some sublte and kind of meaty alterations to the stock vehicle.

So what they have done with this is they put some bigger wheels on the thing and also put colored brake clamps (whatever those are called) like you would put on a racing car. Make no mistake, this car will never win a race unless the other car is a bicycle and even then, it will be a very close race.

Those wheel wells look after-market as well and unlike the last car I posted of this type, this thing isn't covered in decals. Don't get me wrong, I can like the decals too, but this has a bit more class to it.

They've darkened out the grill and ground effects on the front too and even though I have seen a ton of these cars, I don't think I have ever seen one just like this until today.

I like the fake forced air intake on the hood of the car. This is not a combustion engine so that airflow is completely unnecessary and actually, would probably slow the car down with drag!

Although I didn't realize it at the time, something else snuck into my photo that is also nice looking. LOL.

I am yet to actually drive one of these things but from the people that I know that have done so they say that it is just fine for Vietnam. It doesn't have a high top speed but you never really get moving all that fast on the packed roads of Vietnam anyway so you don't really need that. I am sure that these lawn-mower sized tires are damn-near useless off road, but if you ever took this thing off the road you deserve the stuck that you are almost certainly going to get.

If I needed a car and lived in such a fashion that dictated that I might need a car I would definitely consider getting one of these. you can't beat the price and given how often they are customized all over town I have to imagine the modifications aren't a hefty sum either.
