"The Imp" developed in my high school days. I think the main combinations were that it emerged from the beginning of my last name IMhoff, and then combined with the fact that most of the guys I hung around with were quite a bit larger than I. So I was kind of the mischievous little devil in their midst. (although I'm not all that mischievous!)
