Choosing a major project is one of the most important decisions in a CSE student's final year. It's not just about passing evaluation — it's often the first thing a recruiter asks about in an interview, and the project you build says a lot about your problem-solving ability and technical depth. Yet many students end up picking a topic simply because it's trending, without considering whether they can actually build, explain, and defend it confidently.

A strong CSE major project usually falls into one of a few core areas: artificial intelligence and machine learning, full-stack web or app development, data science and analytics, cybersecurity, or systems and networking. Within AI/ML, popular ideas include disease prediction systems, fake news detection, resume screening tools, and recommendation engines.
