It is a great pleasure to address the Steemit team and all the Steemians who participate in the interactions driving this digital platform. I am writing today to submit my official application for community curation duties for the upcoming month of October 2026.

A brief summary of my history on Steem.

On Steemit, I go by @wilmer1988; I joined this digital platform in mid-2019, marking seven years of continuous involvement in this digital landscape. Through dedicated effort, I have achieved significant growth since my early days—thanks to the invaluable support of the Steemit leadership team, who trusted me to be part of this digital ecosystem with a promising future, and who have enabled me to contribute to the support the platform offers its users today.

Details of any position of responsibility held on Steem.

My history within Steemit has allowed me to occupy various roles of responsibility, which include:

  • Country Representative Venezuela (2020 - 2023)
  • Steem Representative (2023 - 2025)
  • Steem Greeter from the Newcomers community
  • Multiple Community Curator
  • Administrator and moderator of the Community Steem Venezuela
In which country do you live, and which languages can you read fluently?.

My native language is Spanish, as I am Venezuelan by birth and reside in my home country. This places me in an ideal position to serve the Steemit user community locally and across the Spanish-speaking world, while my command of communication tools ensures I face no limitations when interacting with Steem users from anywhere else on the globe.

My key statistics: Own SP, CSI, reputation, delegations

Delegations and Individual Statistics:

User:@wilmer1988
SP181,432.22
CSI Voting10.4
Reputation82,259
Delegations@teamvenezuela 15,347,43 SP - @hive-141434 3,403,83 SP
Any topic I particularly enjoy curating

I greatly enjoy supporting exclusive, original content featuring cooking recipes—as well as posts reflecting users' daily lives through the #thediarygame initiative. Furthermore, throughout my long tenure as a curator, I have consistently dedicated a significant portion of my support to the valuable, interactive comments left by users who visit and engage with other posts.

Another topic I always enjoy supporting is visits to unique places around the world through the Steem Atlas initiative.

I conclude my application to be considered as a member of the community's curation team for October 2026.

Thank you!

Hello friend, I hope you are doing well. You have submitted an excellent application. We have reviewed your experience and other contributions; best wishes to you.

@wilmer - your highest votes are going to some unusual authors - @littlecookies, @yela, @ini4909, @viance etc.

These seem to be a very strange choice for someone in Venezuela who wants to be a Community Curator.

Would it not be better to use your high SP to support members of the community in Latin America for example?

Hello @steemcurator01, it is a pleasure to greet you. I cannot pass up your kind attention to mention that I find it "strange" and regrettable that you have not noticed that I keep my high voting power accumulated thanks to not doing a single powerdown for 7 consecutive years—very active, which is important, isn't it? It is "strange" that you didn't check that I maintain the highest delegation to the teamvenezuela and hive-141434 communities. Surely you know that these are accounts that support the content of Spanish-speaking and Latin American users without asking for delegations or mandatory configurations... I imagine you know that too! Or don't you?

On the other hand, regarding the "strange" use of my voting power, it is genuinely a way to grow and keep moving forward despite the value of Steem and the lack of support over the last few years. Personally, I have preferred to keep adding value rather than powering down my account just to start all over again in a vicious cycle. I have chosen to use my personal voting power both to grow and to support users without asking for anything in return, let alone recycling votes with other curators. My selections as a curator have always been clean after years of serving as a curator and representative.

The strangest thing is that, despite attempting to make changes with this new selection methodology in light of the shameful situation of vote recycling among curators, a large part of the problem is actually still right there.

I respectfully sign off after merely sharing the personal opinion of an ordinary user who has spent quite some uninterrupted time being part of this platform through thick and thin, without any intention of pointing fingers at anyone in particular.

Okay.

And you haven't made a comment for two months...
