I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH
EDIFICATION DAILY DEVOTIONAL | SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER 2026
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)
READ: 2 Timothy 4:1–18
In our text, Apostle Paul says he has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, and he has kept the faith. It is really a fight to be able to finish one’s assignment. A measure of sternness is required to be able to finish whatever assignment given to you. It is a fight truly!
A believer assigned for a particular purpose would have to be inexorable — unstoppable. Ministry work is not for chicken-hearted people, but lion-hearted people. Some started the race but could not finish it, whilst some started well but finished badly.
To keep the faith means to hold steadfastly to the faith, to guard it and not let it slip from your hands. Are you still in the faith? Is your love for God still intact?
