Harvesting and sowing are two of the most important and crucial stages.
Farmers are the backbone of our country, toiling day and night in the fields to grow food. A farmer's life is a unique example of struggle, dedication, and unwavering hard work; without them, the agricultural cycle is unimaginable. Furthermore, timely care of crops is the most crucial prerequisite for a successful and bountiful harvest. The agricultural cycle always begins with sowing. Farmers plow their fields and select high-quality seeds, taking into account the weather, soil moisture, and fertility. Sowing at the right time guarantees healthy plant growth. Farmers sow seeds with great patience and hope, dreaming that these tiny seeds will eventually transform into lush, thriving crops that will feed not only their families but the entire nation.
The journey from sowing to crop maturity is long and arduous. Once the crop is fully ripe, the harvesting phase begins. This is a celebratory time for the farmer, as it is when they reap the rewards of months of hard work. Farmers harvest their crops using sickles or modern machinery. While this stage is physically exhausting, the satisfaction and joy visible on their faces clearly show that their efforts have borne fruit. Merely sowing seeds and harvesting crops is not enough; the long interval between these two stages—dedicated to crop care—is the most critical period. This involves tasks such as applying manure and fertilizers to maintain soil fertility and weeding to remove unwanted plants, ensuring the main crop receives full nourishment.
If farmers fail to fulfill these responsibilities on time, the crop could be ruined. In essence, farmers nurture their crops—from sowing to harvesting and through every stage of care—just as they would their own children. Even while facing the vagaries of the weather, financial constraints, and numerous other hardships, they never waver in their duty. It is this very dedication of the food provider that brings food to our plates. We must always respect the tireless hard work of farmers and never waste food.
