why swimsuits are called bikinis?

Swimsuits now have a name of bikinis due to experiments of atomic bombs that USA was making in bikini island.

When in 1946 bikinis were presented, the designer who created them said, that he naimed it like this because bikinis are just like exploded atomic bombs in the island - small and deadly.
