It is one of the most frustrating problems for an indie developer: spending months or years working on a project, releasing it, and then discovering that very few people are actually playing it.
The problem, however, is not necessarily the quality of the game.
Very often, the problem is that nobody knows the game exists, it is unclear who it is for, or there is no strategy for getting it in front of the right people.
