Comenzamos un nuevo ciclo de "Arte y Escritura", luego de la gran celebración de la edición 200. Para esta, el pintor invitado es: Anders Leonard Zorn:

Este distinguido artista plástico nació el 18 de febrero de 1860 en Suecia-Noruega. Entre los años 1875 y 1880 estudió pintura en la Real Academia Sueca de Las Artes de Estocolmo, donde se ganó el reconocimiento de sus maestros por su gran talento para realizar retratos.

Sus primeras obras las realizó en acuarela y luego se dedicó a trabajar con óleo.

Contrajo nupcias con Emma Lamm, quien provenía de una familia judía muy adinerada. Ella amaba el arte y fue modelo de varias obras de su esposo.

Falleció el 22 de agosto de 1920 , a los 60 años, en Estocolmo (Suecia).

Self-Portrait

This distinguished visual artist was born on February 18th Born in 1860 in Sweden and Norway, he studied painting at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm between 1875 and 1880, where he earned the recognition of his teachers for his great talent for portraiture.

His first works were done in watercolor, and he later dedicated himself to working with oils.

He married Emma Lamm, who came from a very wealthy Jewish family. She loved art and modeled for several of her husband's works.

He died on August 22, 1920, at the age of 60, in Stockholm, Sweden.

Below are three works by this outstanding painter: Waltz (1891), Omnibus I (1892), and Summer Pleasure (1886).

Is it possible to be born in Norway and Sweden? I have to look that up.

Here's the information:

They were formally united under a personal union between 1814 and 1905, which ended peacefully when Norway became independent as a constitutional monarchy.

I checked in Wikipedia and it said Sweden...
I wonder what his birth certificate says. It would be normal if they had one name back then, not even that long ago.
