Still August
Yes, it is still August and here, in the Northern Hemisphere, the days are still so hot, or probably where I live lately.
However, there are places that are cool in the both meaning of the word! :)
Iceland got in the news lately with that vote by its citizens to resume the talks with EU for joining the union.
It appears they voted to reject the talks and we will see if that was a good or bad decision for the country, but probably that won't happen anything soon.
Now back to its natural beauty with photos I took in August! :)

I am impressed by the fact that people are given the right to choose something at all somewhere. If they had given Bulgaria the right to choose something, we would not be in the eurozone. On the other hand, the more countries are fooled into getting into this vicious boat, the more reassuring it is for everyone, at least for me 😃
Well, the natural beauty is undeniable here, conveyed through your lens, as always in such a professional way!
Hey :)
Good to see you back after your "STEEM vacation" :P
Well, at the moment we can't say if this is good or bad, in the long run but I understand your perspective. I am not getting richer either but that's the reality. Moreover, I know from experience, our political leaders are too corrupted so we do better alone. We need a higher power to control that greed.
Thanks for the warm words! :)
That sounds even cpeerier than our situation right now 😃 I just read an opinion on this matter and found it really funny. One of the points was: how can they be allowed to hold a referendum - what kind of democracy is that? 🤣 And also - Can we honestly say now that Iceland is in the 'club of the rich'? Well, no, we can't. 😅
I think only a Bulgarian can understand how absurdly sad all of this is. Although I pretend I'm laughing.
As for my 'vacation', I wouldn't call it like that, it's just that during the working week I am really like a dead body, I have no energy or time left for anything, and during the weekends, there is no time even to get enough sleep. So, I am here, but no time to be active..
I hope you find a way to "balance" your energy better, work shouldn't dry out your energy completely.
Just my humble opinion! :)
Have a great evening!
Congratulations! This comment is nominated by True Colours - Booming03
We loved reading you.
Thank you! 😻 I am glad we find common ground in our views on global issues. It is a pleasure to communicate with like-minded people!
That is creepy and happened to us... We voted against Ukraine in the EU. It is a good thing Iceland said No.
How come I doubt Von der Leijen will accept the No or Rutte will or Trump...
Commenting is active too.
Take your rest, so do I..time to retire and making plans for the weekend is no longer in it.
Lucky me, I have a great bed right now.
This booming vote is yours and well deserved.
❤️🍀
Thank you very much! 😊❤️
I think EU is desperate to admit more and more members - to get hold of their resources, establish control, and who knows what else. I suppose the goals of the union have long since been distorted and perverted since its inception. At one time, it may have had some normal and acceptable objectives.
My strongest suspicions arose when Bulgaria was admitted to the Eurozone based on falsified data regarding the fulfillment of criteria. At the time, a national referendum on the matter turned out to be prohibited by law. Yet, had such a referendum been permitted, the outcome would have been clear. That is why I joke about the subject of the referendum.
I am glad that the Netherlands is increasingly expressing its own opinion on various issues where Bulgaria remains subserviently silent or sides with whomever it has been ordered to support. By "Bulgaria," of course, I mean the perpetually venal and corrupt government - regardless of which party it hails from, and not the people, whose voice is always drowned out.
If you’re referring to retirement, I think that concept has become a pipe dream for many people. So many are going to lose their jobs in the coming years, in fact, they are already losing them. I’m not even sure that manual labor or skilled trades are safe from being replaced by AI. So, I’m not sure what will happen to people who can’t find work to see them through to retirement... pretty dark times lie ahead. That’s why there’s no time to rest now too 😐
It is no secret that the EU has sinister plans and does not have the best interests of the EU Member States at heart, let alone those of the people in the various countries.
In my view, all governments are corrupt and those at the helm have all been trained by Klaus Schwab’s club.
The latest thing I’ve read is that Von der L. wants to seize the savings of the EU population to finance a war – a war that nobody would voluntarily put money or energy into.
It’s something they can simply do because all banks operate online. One press of a button and the bank accounts are emptied. A limit on savings is already laid down in the plan for the digital euro anyway.
Here, democracy is nothing more than a word, and anyone who holds a different opinion is locked up.
Like you, I take a bleak view of the future and have little faith in the games being played to rile up and lock up the population worldwide.
With these exorbitantly high prices, it’s no longer possible to travel, not even to work.
We’re seeing yet another farmers’ strike on bridges that are on the verge of collapse; public transport will be at a standstill on Wednesday, and it seems unlikely to me that everyone will flock to taxis en masse.
The only way to survive is to develop the skills to set up and maintain a black market, and the more you can do yourself, the better your life will be.
I do not believe many will reach retirement age. A significant culling is already taking place amongst the elderly, the sick and everyone who falls on the battlefields – or are they slaughterfields?
Moreover, the spread of hatred ensures that the population will kill one another during the uprisings. I do not think that a god or Allah will come to the rescue here, nor do I believe that the ‘white people’ pulling the strings will keep the foolish immigrant masses alive.
The only consolation is that there are always people and communities who manage to fend for themselves and turn their backs on society. I suspect this is the only way to survive: back to basics and self-sufficiency.
Europe is certainly not an independent entity, but is grovelling to Trump as agreed. That would be a foolish move if they genuinely had their people’s best interests at heart.
It’s never wise to treat your neighbours unkindly.
Find your own little spot – a bubble, if need be – and make sure you’ve stocked up on what you need most.
🤗❤️🍀
In average I doubt if present EU citizens had a voice at all. All voting is controlled and influenced by the same countries and by now the EU.
The media made it up we all like it. After all those years nothing of what they preached came true. It all is a big lie with total control as the goal.
This BOOMING vote is yours and well deserved!
❤️🍀
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
An amazing collection of photos! It is just they do not seem to match in the same post.
Please, use your hashtags correctly and move #steemexclusive at the end of your row.
You why, I told you before.
Thank you!
That's the beauty of art - highly subjective - I see something you don't and vice versa. For me, the photos perfectly match the topic, I have picked them intentionally.
Will do, cheers. I think you're the only one left who pays attention to hastags here...
Have a nice Sunday!
hahaha,Yes, sir, it's still August. Your photographs are spectacular. I'm a man of honest opinions, so I'll say .... the rainbow is clearly visible through the waterfall. As I already told you, anyone with a cell phone can take pictures, but not everyone takes pictures like these.
Happy Sunday
Much appreciated, sir :)
Happy New Week to you and your closest ones! :)
