The Diary Game: August 3rd, 2026. How I Spent My Day - A Day of Fun, Happiness and Flex
Hello Steemians,
@blessedi here. I hope everyone had a wonderful day today.
Today turned out to be another memorable day for me. It was filled with laughter, light work, good food, and that sweet reminder that taking time for yourself is a great deal. I call it a day of fun, happiness and flex. The atmosphere at home was calm and joyful.
I woke up this morning as usual and the first thing I did was give thanks to God. Seeing another day is a gift, and the gift of life is priceless. After my prayers, my fiancé and I did our morning devotion together. Praying together in the morning always sets the tone for the day. It gives peace and direction.

After devotion, we went out to take care of our
grasscutters. My fiancé cleaned their cage and changed the water, while I was busy arranging their feed. I had picked some fresh ugwu stems from the market the previous day. I washed them properly and arranged them neatly on one side of the cage for the grasscutters. Watching them eat happily always makes me smile. Taking care of animals teaches patience and responsibility lol.

After we were done with the grasscutters, I was already feeling so hungry. I didn’t feel like cooking that early, so I sent my landlord’s son to get me akara and custard. When he brought it, I prepared the custard warm and fluffy. We had that for breakfast and it hit the spot. Akara and custard in the morning is pure comfort.

After eating, I switched to cleaning mode. I swept the room, arranged the bed, and made the place neat. A clean environment makes the mind peaceful. After tidying up, I went to the bathroom to take my bath. The water felt so refreshing. After my bath, I rested for a little while and scrolled through my phone.

Later in the afternoon, I decided to cook. I prepared rice, beans, and stew. The smell of the stew filled the whole house. After the cooking was done, I served the food and we ate together. Food tastes better when you cook it yourself and eat with someone you love.

After eating, I went straight to bed. I put on the fan, turned on the TV, and played a very interesting movie called "Black Messiah" by Kanayo O. Kanayo. Ahhh that movie! It was so funny and interesting at the same time. The story was about a fake pastor who went to seek power from a marine kingdom so he could "deliver people" and see their problems. But of course, he was charging people consultation money and deliverance money lol.

The funniest part was when he went to collect the power. The marine queen asked him what he would give in return, because we all know the devil doesn’t give things for free. He said "anything." So the woman gave him a spiritual hen and maize, and told him the amount of maize the hen eats is the number of years he would stay on earth. The hen only ate 10 grains of maize. That means 10 years. He started panicking and shouting, "Hen, eat more! Eat more!" He was even asking his friends, "Abi they don feed this hen before bringing it?" He was begging the hen to eat more but the hen refused 😂 I had to hide under my blanket laughing

When the movie ended, my fiancé said he wanted to go out. He took his shower and dressed up, ready to step out. But then he saw that I had put on an American action movie. He paused, sat down, and I said "are you not going out again ?and he said Make we watch this one first." He got so serious watching it that he forgot about going out for a while.

Later I got hungry again. I went to serve myself more food, ate, and continued watching the movie with him. It was just a flex day — no stress, no pressure, just good food, good movies, and good company.
Looking back at the day, I’m grateful. From taking care of the grasscutters, to eating akara and custard, to laughing at "Black Messiah," to cuddling and watching action movies — it was a perfect mix of responsibility and relaxation.
That was how I spent my Monday, 3rd August 2026. Thank you all for reading. I hope your day was as fun and peaceful as mine.
