The Diary Game [18/09/2026]:From Morning Rush To Afternoon Exams,My Stressful School Day

Hello, Steemian family! Welcome back to my blog. It’s your girl @classicprincess, and today I’m here to give you a real, unfiltered breakdown of how my day went at school.

If you are currently in exam season like me, then you already know that student life comes with its own unpredictable drama. Today was one of those days that tested every single drop of patience I had!

Starting off bright, early, and full of energy!

The Early Morning Rush and The Timetable Mix-Up
My exam was scheduled for today, and according to the timetable we had, our paper was listed for the morning session. As a serious and focused student, I didn't want to take any chances with traffic or late preparation. I woke up early, prepared myself, dressed up, and hit the road to campus.
In my institution, the exam system is organized in a very specific way. You can never know the exact hall you'll be writing in until right before the exam starts. If you have an exam by 9:00 AM, the official seating arrangements are posted on the notice board right at 9:00 AM. They list your registration number ranges alongside the assigned halls and departments. The same thing applies if your paper is by 1:00 PM—you just have to wait until 1:00 PM on the dot for the list to go up before checking where your reg number falls.
So, when 9:00 AM arrived for the morning paper, everybody rushed to the notice board to check our hall allocations. I went there alongside our Class Rep, our departmental executives, and my course mates. We kept scanning the lists up and down, checking every single page, but to our complete shock, none of our names or registration numbers were anywhere on the sheets!

The Long, Exhausting Wait Under the Tree Confused and confused, our Class Rep and a group of us marched straight down to the Exams and Records department to figure out what was going on. That was where we received the news: our exam had actually been rescheduled for the afternoon session, not the morning session as written on the timetable! You could literally hear the collective sigh of disappointment from everyone. We were all completely exhausted before the paper even started. Most of us had woken up super early, prepped for a quick morning paper, and planned to head straight back home to rest and study for the next one. Instead, we were stranded on campus with several hours to kill before 1:00 PM. Going all the way back home and returning again didn't make any financial or practical sense, so we had no choice but to hang around campus.

Finding shade under the trees to pass the time.
To pass the time and keep our spirits up, we found a cool spot under the trees near the exam halls. We sat down, chatted, complained a bit about the situation, and shared a few laughs to ease the tension. That was when I decided to pull out my phone and capture the moment with some selfies and photos of my course mates relaxing in the shade. Finally Heading to the Exam Hall After hours of waiting, waiting, and more waiting, 1:00 PM finally rolled around. The afternoon lists were posted, we located our respective hall numbers, and everybody started heading over to sit for the paper.

Heading to our exam hall

Time to get down to business! Heading to our assigned exam hall.
By the time the paper was over and I finally left campus, I was completely drained. Today was truly tiring and frustrating because nobody was mentally prepared to spend the entire day sitting around at school. But as they say, that’s all part of the student journey! We survived the stress, wrote the paper, and now it’s time to rest up for the next challenge. Thank you so much for reading through my blog today!
