Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Weekly Choices - @fantvwiki

Edited using Canva
Best wishes to us all.
This is my weekly selection of the best posts I’ve read and commented on, in line with the 34th Steemit challenge update.
Weekly Choices - once a week people are invited to make a post highlighting 3 Diary Game posts and 3 Contests that they think deserve more attention. For each of the six selections you should give a brief reason why they have been chosen. You should include a note on what you think makes a good Diary Game post, and what makes a good Contest. The selected Diary Game posts should be ones you have commented on, and the selected Contests should be ones you have commented on and entered. Use the tag #s34weekly for these posts. (Steemit Update-August 24th, 2026).
During this first week, I’ve read many different types of Diary Game posts. However, forcing myself to select three Diary Game posts and three best competition entries without any criteria is pointless.
The sheer number of Game Diary posts, and contest I’ve read doesn’t mean I have to choose six of them. If they don’t fit into the category I’m looking for, I won’t force it.
So, it’s only natural that I’ve chosen just the three best Diary Game posts that I’ve read and commented on. This means my assessment of these posts isn’t merely a contrived result, but is based on valid reasons as to why they deserve to be chosen.
What makes the Diary Game so good?
---
- The piece has a personal narrative based on real-life experiences – I set a few initial selection criteria, one of which was real-life experiences with a personal narrative.
- The photo illustrates the story - The relevance of the photos is the next key consideration. This is important for readers, so that they can visualise the story through the photos uploaded.
- It doesn’t just describe activities, but also feelings and thoughts - A story must have more meaning than just a series of events; anything monotonous will dampen the reader’s desire to read the post.
- Layout - Reader comfort is another contributing factor, and I also base my assessment on that.
My Three Favourite Posts
---
Here are my three chosen posts, which I believe are worthy of being selected as this week’s best posts. They are all from Indonesia and meet the four selection criteria I mentioned earlier.
1️⃣"August Games Day At School" Created by @sailawana.
My comment in this post : RE: "August Games Day At School"
There are two main narratives, written in a personal style by the author. The author takes the reader through their experiences from the start of the race to the finish. The expression of feelings lends a personal touch to this post, and I like the way they convey it.
The use of relevant photographs, whilst appearing dense, manages to capture those small details. The photographs accompanying each section of the narrative provide a visual illustration of what is taking place.
2️⃣"Bantu Adik Untuk Daftar Ulang Kuliah 20-8-2026" Created by @nananrazila
My comment in this post : RE: Bantu Adik Untuk Daftar Ulang Kuliah 20-8-2026
Its shortcoming lies in the paragraphs being too long. However, this is offset by the storylines, which are drawn from the author’s real-life experiences. There is a cause-and-effect relationship in all the stories told, and this piece contains many valuable lessons and reflections.
In my opinion, the use of the photos is a little off, particularly on the cover. However, appreciation without detracting from the objective value should be the primary consideration. I think the author will do much better at addressing these shortcomings in their next post.
3️⃣"Lanjutan pembuatan kolam dan mengikuti takziah" Created by @alee75
My comment in this post : RE: Lanjutan pembuatan kolam dan mengikuti takziah
This is what I call a post with a complete plot and narrative. The dynamics of the story draw the reader in, making them feel as though they are experiencing it for themselves; it’s unique and captivating.
This post features an element of time travel as a coherent narrative thread, alongside genuine personal experiences. The photos uploaded also reflect the activities described.
I only read this post once, but I was able to grasp its content and the author’s intended message straight away. This is because the author has used the paragraph structure effectively; personally, I have learnt a great deal from the author.
All in all, those are my top three posts, which I’ve read and commented on previously. Given the sheer number of posts of this kind, I can only offer my assessment from the perspective of a user based in Indonesia.
It should be noted that the content of the Diary Game posts is essentially determined by the author’s personal taste. Consequently, it is solely up to the reader to judge the post. Whether the author considers it good or not depends on the quality of the writing, the experience gained, and the appeal of the story. This is entirely at the discretion of each individual reader.
That concludes this post; please accept my apologies for any shortcomings.

Hola, amigo!
Hello, my friend.
Thank you for your comments and observations. I really appreciate them.
You’re right about nanarazila, she does need to be encouraged and motivated to be active on Steemit. However, as I can’t force her, I respect that.
As for the competition, you’re right about that too.
It’s a real shame I don’t have any more time to look at some of the Contest entries, which look really good
As a result, I didn’t submit the three contest entries as I should have done. I didn’t choose them simply to tick off the required categories before I’d actually read them.
Thank you once again, your comments have made this post all the more worthwhile.
A very thoughtful and well-explained selection!
I really appreciate that you did not choose posts simply to complete the required number, but instead focused on clear criteria such as personal experiences, meaningful storytelling, relevant photographs, emotions, and good presentation.Your explanation of what makes a strong Diary Game post is especially helpful for writers. I agree that a good Diary Game should be more than just listing daily activities; sharing feelings, thoughts, experiences, and small meaningful details makes the story much more engaging for readers. The three selected posts also sound well deserving of recognition, and I appreciate how you explained both their strengths and areas that could be improved. This makes your weekly selection feel fair and constructive rather than simply complimentary.
Thank you for sharing your perspective and for taking the time to read, comment on, and support other authors. Your effort can certainly encourage more writers to improve their content and share their real-life stories with the community. Best wishes for your Week 34 selections!
Thank you for your positive feedback. I’d be delighted if this simple explanation could be of use to other writers.
Selecting posts is not just about determining who is the best, but also about recognising the experience, effort and stories that are shared.
I myself am still learning in all areas, one of which is how to understand and evaluate a piece of writing.
I hope that my selection and brief explanation of why I chose these posts will serve as inspiration to anyone reading this post.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, best wishes to you.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I completely agree that every writer has a unique experience and story to share. Your thoughtful selection and explanations can definitely encourage others to keep improving and sharing their work. Wishing you continued success and inspiration in your writing journey!
You're welcome. My best wishes to you as well. 🙏🏻
Hola!!
Exito.
Muchas Bendiciones.. 🙏🏻
Hello, my friends.
I often pass the time by reading, including posts on Steemit. Of course, there are plenty of other brilliant writers from outside Indonesia whose work is of a very high standard.
However, time ultimately prevents me from reading everything. That’s why I’ve been reading stories and experiences by Indonesian writers more often lately.
Although I’ve only chosen three posts, that’s all I’ve been able to do. There are many others, but I always base my judgement on what I’ve read.
Thank you for your comment, my friend, my best wishes to you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
