RE: Reje (Traditional Leaders) Forum Demands Justice Regarding Customary Land Rights, Customary Forests, and Authority
This is a very meaningful and important discussion about the rights, heritage, and future of the indigenous communities in Central Aceh. Customary land, forests, and traditional territories are not simply pieces of land; they are closely connected to the history, identity, culture, and livelihoods of the people who have lived there for generations. I appreciate the efforts of the Reje Forum and the Wali Nanggroe Institution to bring these concerns forward through dialogue and proper institutional channels. It is also encouraging to see different representatives coming together to discuss possible solutions. I hope the documents, historical records, and community concerns will receive proper attention and that this initial dialogue will lead to concrete steps that protect indigenous rights while maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
