I know exactly what you mean about forgetting the music to a song you wrote. Years ago, I used to write down my chords, and lyrics, but nothing else, and no recording. And when I lost those papers, I lost the songs. Sometimes they pop into my head, and I hum them, but Im lazy with music, and put all the memory and archiving effort into painting:)
