Hello, friends, welcome to my post in which I have discussed "Great power comes with great responsibility!* as part of my participation in this contest organized by @sduttaskitchen

"Great power comes with great responsibility!" How do you interpret the term? I would appreciate your explanation.

"Great power comes with great responsibility!" This statement means that the more someone is known in society or powerful, the more responsibility they will have, because people and society would start seeing the person as a savior.

Great men and women are people with responsibility, which, if we look at the world at large and see how great some leaders are, we will discover that most of them are great today because of the responsibility they are carrying. Responsibility makes someone great in life; the greater your power, the greater your responsibility.

"If an individual is unable to manage responsibility, then power loses its significance!" Your viewpoint resonates with this understanding!

Yes, if an individual is unable to manage responsibility, the power of that individual will be significantly reduced. People respect those who solve their problems, and as an individual who can't manage responsibility, it will make people start seeing you less. Let's take an example from our elected leaders: those who can't manage their responsibilities; citizens usually protest for them to be removed from office and even vote against them.

Even in a family, when a man is unable to manage his responsibilities as the man in his house, he will lose his significance at home, as his wife and children would start disrespecting him and seeing him less. The more responsibilities we can solve, the more significant and respectful we become in life.

What factors must we take into account to achieve a proper equilibrium between power and responsibility? Please provide a detailed explanation.

To the best of my understanding, the factors we must take into account to achieve a proper equilibrium between power and responsibility are the following:

  • Accept your error: We must be accountable and have the ability to accept our errors.

  • Clear tracking: We must define who makes decisions and who is responsible for the outcome; knowing this factor would help us to know those who are responsible when things go right or wrong.

  • Regular audits: We must check actions often to catch mistakes or abuse early to know those who are against our duty and responsibility.

  • Open reporting: We must allow people to see and question how power is used, which, by so doing, would make us know the areas we aren't doing well and adjust.
