It's Throwback Time! – Childhood Memories Contest"

Lets do a throwback on my childhood days, there is actually so much to write about, however we would be talking about games in this contest and I think it's a very good pick from our childhood activity. Just tell me, what child doesn't love games, lols... I doubt if you find one of that kind.
What was your favorite game as a child?
My favourite game growing up includes football and video games. I could remember these two vividly. There is also this one I can't really define, I can only explain it and hope you get the point. We draw lines on the ground and form boxes and shapes and then create rules around them which must not be broken.
You will see us jumping from one box to another with an object at the back of our hands which must not drop as we jump. The game is called "Suwe" or "Laka Laka" in one of our local dialects here. It's a very interesting game. But then, I won't be talking about it since it's not a game that is universal, maybe it is but I will rather stick with football and video games that y'all know.
Do you still play that game. Or is it just a memory now?
I still play football but not as much as I used to when I was much younger. I played from Street to Street, even attempted joining some local tournament, that's how much I love football, although my weakness then was that I could play for long, running was a major challenge for me, it makes me gasp out easily and get tired.
When I discovered this, I knew football as a career wouldn't be a wise choice because I don't have such stamina for it even though I live the game so little by little I had to let go, I just see it as an occasional game that I could engage myself in once in a while.

As for video games, mehn! I think I have given up on this one for a very long time. I love adventure, and these are some of the games I love out for playing video games. I'm not a fan of football video games, in fact a big brother of mine made me hate it so much because he would always win me each time we played, no matter how hard I played to win.
Hence the reason I stuck to just those action games like Contra, Mortal Kombat , Mission impossible, Grand theft, etc it's was just recently I began to revive the passion for games on steemit, playing some of those game brought back those childhood memories, especially when I play SteemPong!
Share with us a cute or interesting childhood memory. The one related to your favorite game.
The sweet memory I have is with "Suwe" the one I tried to explain earlier that have to do with making drawings on the ground and forming boxes that would be jumped in and over at some point until one is able to fulfill every demand to become a winner.

I played this game with my siblings and childhood friends then, it was a game we played everyday and we enjoyed it. My video game experience with my big bro wasn't pleasant at all, he would always win when we play football, no matter the team I used in olaying with him. We used "Sega" then, a very popular video game before PS1 came on board.
So for me "Suwe" still stands out, I hardly find children playing Suwe these days, they are busy with tabs and phone which has limited fun. Times are indeed changing. In few years from now, many physical engaging games will go into extinction because of virtual games. Anyway we had the most fun while growing us, the genz and alpha are missing a whole lot.
Let me wrap it all up here. Thank you all for your time, see ya in my next post.
Regards
@lhorgic❤️

Childhood games always bring back such beautiful memories. I enjoyed reading about Suwe and how you played it with your siblings and friends. It is true that nowadays many children spend more time on phones and tablets, while traditional outdoor games are slowly disappearing. Those simple games gave us so much happiness and brought us closer to our friends and family.
Thank you for sharing these lovely memories with us.

I'm glad you enjoyed my entry for this contest. Those games left us with sweet memories. I wish kids of these games can find joy playing these outdoor games and not get stuck with phone and tablets. Thanks for engaging.
You're most welcome.I completely agree with you. Outdoor games are not only fun but also help children stay active and create beautiful memories with their friends. Hopefully, the younger generation will also discover the joy of these traditional games instead of spending all their time on screens.
