My Greatest Life Lesson

Assalamu Alaikum my dear friends!

There are moments in every person’s life that change them forever. Knowledge gained from books is important in its place, but the real lessons are taught to us by life experiences. Sometimes happiness teaches us to be grateful and sometimes difficult times make us stronger. For me, the biggest lesson in life is “trust”. I believe that trust is the foundation of any relationship, but if this trust is broken, it leaves a deep impact on a person’s heart. An incident also happened to me that taught me a lot. Today I want to share the same experience with you all, because maybe my story will be beneficial for someone else too.

༻1. Which experience in your life became the biggest lesson? What happened?༻

A few years ago, I became friends with a person in whom I had a lot of faith. I considered him my sincere friend. Over time, our relationship grew stronger and I started sharing many of my personal things with him. I thought he would keep everything I said a secret and would always support me.

But one day I came to know that some of my personal things had reached other people. At first I did not believe it, but later the truth came to me. At that moment I was very sad. I was more hurt by this because the person I trusted the most could not protect my trust.

For many days I kept thinking about where I had gone wrong. Then gradually I realized that not every person in life is the same. Some people are really well-wishers for us and some only support us temporarily. This incident also taught me to cry, to take care of myself and above all, it taught me that trust is a very precious thing, it should not be handed over to everyone.

༻2. How did this experience change your thinking, decisions or the way you live your life?༻

After this incident. My thinking changed a lot. Earlier I used to believe people's words quickly, but now I give someone time to understand. I also learned that not every good person is always sincere.

Now I only talk about my personal life with those who have proven their loyalty over time. This experience taught me to trust myself more than others. I realized that if a person is strong, the mistakes of others cannot break him for long.

I also learned to forgive, because by holding hatred in his heart, a person is worried about himself. However, forgiving does not mean blindly trusting again. Now I do not make every decision in a hurry, but take steps thoughtfully. This change became the biggest benefit of my life.

༻3. What advice would you give to others based on this lesson?༻

If I had to give advice to someone based on my experience. I would say that you must trust, but wisely. Take time to get to know someone. Do not share everything you have with anyone just because of sweet words or good behavior.

If someone ever breaks your trust, do not consider yourself finished. Such incidents are a part of life. Learn from them. Well always maintain your good thinking and kind heart. Not every human being is the same, so do not punish everyone for one person's mistake.

The most important thing is to never break anyone's trust yourself. If someone believes in you, protect that trust, because once trust is broken, it is very difficult to re-establish it.

Finally I would like to say that life taught me many lessons. Well the lesson of trust was the most profound. Even today, I believe in people, but with more understanding than before. For me, strong relationships are not only built on love, but also on trust, respect and truth. If these three things are present, every relationship remains beautiful, and if trust is lost, even the strongest relationship weakens.
