Work Life And Balance

Assalam-o-Alaikum to the entire steemit family; I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your lives to the fullest.

Today’s topic is truly delightful—or, to be honest, it serves as a mirror reflecting the lives of us women.

"Life is a vast river of tasks, and we must rely on our own strength and effort to secure moments of enjoyment, rest, and happiness."

Let’s take a look at my daily routine. I wake up early in the morning; after the Fajr prayer,

I recite the Holy Quran—specifically Surah Ar-Rahman—which makes my entire day feel very peaceful.

The Most Challenging Time Of The Day:

Then, I prepare breakfast for the children and send them off to school. This morning period is the most challenging time of all; serving breakfast, preparing lunchboxes, packing bags, and getting the kids to school on time feels like a huge struggle.
It is particularly difficult because I have a nine-month-old baby who starts crying whenever he pleases, and at the same time, my husband also has to leave for work.

"Once everyone has left, I finally take a long, relieved breath".

After resting for 15 to 20 minutes, I handle the dishwashing, dusting, and putting Hassan down for a nap; I manage to get all of this done by 12 o'clock. If there is laundry to be done.I start a load.

Alongside that, I attend to my social media work—drafting outlines for contests, searching for images, writing out the posts, and finally squeezing in the time to publish them.

Two o'clock is when the children return from school; I serve them lunch, help them change out of their uniforms, and—after a brief rest—get them ready for their tuition classes.

This routine continues until four o'clock. At six in the evening, the Qari (Quran teacher) arrives; I send the children to study and prepare tea for the teacher.

Meanwhile, I also have to cook dinner, boil milk, and prepare the children's feeding bottles. By the time all this is done, it is nearly 11 PM.

I am often reminded of Ghalib’s verse:

"The heart yearns again for those days and nights of leisure—sitting and contemplating the beloved."

whereas now, one longs for even a few moments of peaceful sleep."

If this work routine persists for a full week, I visit my parents' home so I can get a day or two of restful sleep.

The Lesson I Learned from Life:

There is a lesson I learned from life—one that applies whether one is a student or an adult: "Do not sit idle for even a moment if you desire true leisure."

I have learned that life demands discipline, and in return, it grants you everything you desire.

Quaid’s motto;

Unity, Faith, and Discipline—places discipline at the very forefront. Regardless of religion, country, or nationality, a disciplined person finds success and happiness in life, and life, in turn, is pleased with them.

That was my post for today; I hope you all enjoy it. Please keep me in your prayers. Until next time with a new topic—JazakAllah and Allah Hafiz.
