While I truly admire the sophistication with which you wield words and craft such complex, philosophical texts, I’ll put it in the simplest, clumsiest terms - the first thought that comes to mind is this: I am astounded by the confidence with which AI invents things and responds instantly, providing completely incorrect information. I wish I could move through life with that same level of confidence 😂 instead, I often feel unsure even about facts that I know for sure and are 100% undeniable facts. 🤷‍♀️
I can't say exactly who each of us encounters when we have interactions - I wouldn’t call it 'communication' - with this thing. In a way, we likely encounter different aspects of ourselves, and above all, different facets of our own fears.
Your comparison to "Solaris" is spot on! And quite a frightening comparison, at that. I think this is the first time I’ve truly considered just how dangerous interacting with AI actually is. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that I’ve quite consciously avoided it ever since this whole "trend" began...
