Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 155: Investing for the Future

Hello wonderful Steemians.
Welcome to a brand-new week where we want you to explore this new topic.
If you have a handful of apples, you can eat them all right now to satisfy your hunger, but once they're gone, they're gone. But, if you decide to nurture the seeds, they grow into a tree. Eventually, that tree doesn't just give you one apple; it gives you hundreds of apples every single year, almost for free, just because you had the patience to plant them once.
Investing is the decision to take some of those apples, pull out the seeds, and plant them in the ground. It takes effort, time, and a bit of risk because you have to deal with the weather and the soil. You can't eat those seeds today, and in fact, you're actually "poorer" in the short term because you gave up the food you could have had.
In the real world, instead of seeds, we use money. Instead of a garden, we are putting that money into things like companies, real estate, or even new technologies hoping for a better return. The goal is to move from a life where you only have what you can earn with your own hands, to a life where the "trees" you planted are working for you, growing and producing more wealth while you sleep.
Therefore, in this contest we invites you to share some of your investments with those hoping to learn from it.
Contest Questions:
If you had to pick one thing to put your money into for the next ten years, would you choose something you can touch, like a house, or something digital like a stock or crypto?
Would you rather have a guaranteed small amount of money every single month, or a chance to win a massive amount of money once every five years?
Do you think it is better to try and pick the "next big thing" yourself, or is it safer to just put your money in a big basket with everyone else?
If you had to teach a child about money, would you tell them to save every penny or tell them to use money to build things?
We look forward to reading your personal experiences, opinions and perspectives on this interesting topic.

This contest is worth participating in. Investing for the future is a decision that many people often makes. But making a choice on the kind of investment to make is where the big problem hangs.
@ruthjoe, thanks for inviting me to participate in this contest. I would be sharing my own idea on this topic soon.
