AND THEY HAVE REBELLED AGAINST ME

“Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: ‘I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against Me.’” — Isaiah 1:2 (NKJV)

The most important aspect of a person’s relationship with God is continuity and steadfastness.
God would not want you to start with Him in a relationship and after you have been brought up, you then rebelled and turned your back against Him; that exactly was what the Israelites did in our text.
God said the ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, and does not consider. He called them a sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, who have forsaken the Lord and turned away backward.
God detests turning away backward. Whoever has pledged allegiance to God through Christ should remain steadfast to the end. Your relationship with God is not for a while but for everlasting.
