Happy Caturday! 😸…….…..North Cascade Wanderings

Cot spends a lot of time getting ready for Caturday! He makes sure he’s well rested and ready for the day! 😽

Caturday—usually a laid back day. One I get to sleep in just a bit. Today was no different, but as I was toweling off from my shower, I noticed something; perhaps a lack of something, might be a better description. On the counter is the kitties’ water fountain. It had suddenly gone quiet. It doesn’t make a lot of noise, but the sound atmosphere of the house had changed. I looked around the corner and sure enough, it wasn’t running. My light was still on as they run off of solar power, so I tried flipping a grid light on—nothing! I’d just gotten done with my shower which was good as our water supply is a well run by—you guessed it—electricity! 😅 Lucky me! ☺️

@silvertop got all the necessary stuff in place and fired up the genny so he could get his shower. Turns out a dead and rotten tree took out the electric down on North Pass, leaving our entire road and part of that road without electricity.

Once we got some things done, we headed to town to pick up some things from the Home Depot and to stop by the grocery store for milk. By this time, it was well after 4 PM. At 4:23, I got a text that the power had been restored. That only took almost 7 hours in non-event times. Can you imagine how long it would have taken if there had been a major storm? I’m chalking it up to their lack of preparation for the season. It’s early yet. 😏

Later at home as I was walking the property, I’d been hearing this and finally had it come into my view.

For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
