An unusual dating.

My friends know that I am a bad artist and I also have no taste for unusual‑looking artworks. But @wakucat didn’t know this. She was dating me. One day she told me to visit Sonsbeak Park in Arnhem for an art exhibition. It was an international event where artists had constructed various architectural structures and were presenting them as artworks.

I particularly liked the structure shown in the image above. It was a long triangular construction, open at both ends, with a long bench‑like platform in the middle. I thought it could be used for a party. You could place food on the central bench and arrange chairs on both sides to enjoy a meal. In my view, it was a very practical artwork which was perfect for hosting a small gathering. Besides that, it had side openings that allowed plenty of sunlight, which would be great during lunch.

I happily told this to her but she became angry. She said I wasn’t good at judging art. She cancelled the date and left. Then I had to pay for the tickets alone, since we hadn’t paid at the entrance. I also had to pay the taxi bill by myself because the driver had been waiting for us. She had eaten a lot there and I paid for all of it. Now she isn’t picking up my calls. This is not fair. If she ever meet you, told her to pay half of the amount, i.e., $500 to me that I had spent there.
