#inktober: Bake- spicy cake
Heat the oven just a little.
Grease the cake pan with a little butter.
Then line the bottom with parchment paper.
All this she said as she did.
In a large bowl, she whisked together a cup of flour,
Half a cup of cocoa powder,
Three spoonfuls of dry chili pepper,
A cup of granulated sugar,
A spoon of baking soda,
And a quarter for salt.
Then came a spoon of cayenne pepper and ground Mexican chili powder,
A spoon of ground cinnamon,
And two teaspoons of freshly ground black pepper.
In a separate medium bowl, she whisked the eggs, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract until completely smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
Stir gently with a spatula or wooden spoon just until combined.
The batter will be quite thick at this stage.
Slowly pour the hot water or coffee into the batter.
Whisk gently until the liquid is fully incorporated.
The batter will turn thin and runny—this is exactly what you want for a super moist cake.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes.
My brother walked in and horizontally dipped a spoon in.
"Mum, are you sure this is for humans? It looks like it's for dragons," he said, reaching for a cup of water.
Only then did my mum taste it.
She called out for me to bring her her glasses.
Only then did we find out that the spoon she used to scoop the pepper wasn't a teaspoon at all.
It was a mini soup spoon with a teaspoon-shaped handle, but a deceptively deep scoop.
Dad walked into the kitchen and offered his own commentary:
"Into the center, into the pan, go anywhere but in my mouth!"
I tried tasting a tiny bit to see if it was manageable.
It was hopeless. I ended up gulping down three whole cups of water.
"Into the trash or into the bush, perhaps a stray dragon shall visit your curse," I added.
But my mum couldn't hide her disappointment.
"Ugh, what a waste," she exclaimed.
THANKS FOR VIEWING

Just add more of everything except of the pepper! Instead of one you have 6 cakes. Also good. Do not poison the Dragons!

UPDATE ON THE GIANT CAKE DISASTER:
We ended up leaving the massive 20kg pepper cake out by the bush. By midnight, we heard a deep, coughing roar.
This morning, half the bush is completely singed and there is a giant bottle of antacid missing from our medicine cabinet. The local dragons send their regards (and their medical bills) for the ultimate tummy burn! 😂🌶️

I find it hard to believe that a fire-breathing dragon can’t handle a pepper 🌶️ spicy cake, quite apart from the fact that such dragons can’t get into your house to raid the medicine cabinet.
You’re lucky that only the bushes were scorched and the whole house didn’t burn down.
I’d keep an eye out for the real culprit.
I must say, your local dragons are very clever. Just send a bill for something that hasn’t caused them any trouble, and I’m sure you’ll pay! – a little taste, a little cough – that’s all it takes for mine to get you to do it. Hahaha.
Do pass on my regards to the local dragons!
Let's see what we have for dinner... The next hero? 👇

The dragons are pretty civilized but they can't pass a free meal😂. They're just tough on the outside but they've got some delicate insides.
😂😂, I guess, if he's dumb enough to not run when he sees a dragon.😂
Sadly, it’s already baked. Our dragons will actually be pleased—they rarely find free food. It'll only end up with a week of fire sickness and a little purging if the pepper ends up boiling in its tummy instead 😂
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
I have never tasted spicy cake before. I was following through your ingredients one by one, but had to re-read from the beginning when it said dry chili pepper to check if I read it wrong 😂 If it was the correct measurement, how does a chili cake taste like?
😂 I completely made up that recipe on the spot because I was just thinking about it! Please don't try baking this at home—@hafsasaadat90 perfectly explained what would happen to your stomach. Plus, the mum in the story was following a completely wrong recipe, even though she was aiming for a giant cake with a 30cm radius and 15cm height!
Let's just say if anyone needs a 15cm tall cake that doubles as a fire hazard or a weapon of mass stomach destruction, you know exactly where to find the recipe! 💀🎂
A prank like this was pulled on my daughter. Since her birthday was approaching, all her cousins decided to create a special birthday cake—one designed to ruin the taste in her mouth! They took coffee bean waste, shaped it into a cake, covered it with a layer of cream, and presented it to her as her birthday cake. But when she took a bite, she realized it was actually quite an elaborate prank.
🤣🤣🤣, I can imagine the look on her face when she took a bite.
It was truly a bad experience that he had to endure.
Very bad😂, more like a birthday punishment
Well, it would be absolutely accurate to say that this was tantamount to receiving a punishment on one's birthday.
This can only be described as a waste. I was thinking the exact same thing after reading the post—because all mothers tend to think alike. This cake is the perfect way to cause an upset stomach; if you’re looking for a way to punish someone, there’s no better cake than this. It couldn’t even be called food fit for a dragon.
