Binance removed STEEM/USDC spot trading pair

If you haven't noticed, one of the major centralized crypto exchanges just removed the STEEM/USDC trading pair, along with few others, mainly USDC-tethered.

From my point of view, this is tightly related to the lack of MiCA for Binance and ergo, probably hugely decreased trading volumes of the mentioned crypto pairs there.

The only STEEM related pair on Binance now remains STEEM/USDT however it is not available to users from EU/EEA as USDT isn't MiCA licensed either.

Still, STEEM could be converted to other coins back and forth but this imposes higher fees and certain lack of transparency and flexibility.
