Hello friends

I am going to start today's new post by greeting and congratulating all the brothers and sisters of "Steem for Bangladesh" on my behalf. In this post, I am going to share some special moments from the day. I hope that through this post, you will gain insight into a variety of things and learn something new.

I woke up this morning and freshened up, just as the Fajr call to prayer (adhan) was sounding. After finishing my prayers, I headed toward the pond in the field while it was still early dawn. On the way, I found a ripe palmyra fruit (tal) in the orchard. There were several others nearby, but they weren't yet ready to eat. I brought the fruit home; it was still quite dark outside, as the arrival of the winter season means the days are beginning to start a bit later. Regardless, after dropping off the fruit at home, I set out once again toward the pond.

After that, I arrived at the edge of the pond. My first glance went toward my vegetable garden. Upon entering, I noticed that the new bitter gourd plants had begun to bloom. The beautiful morning blossoms truly captivated me. I usually spend my mornings by the pond to keep away birds—such as herons and cormorants—that feed on the fish. Following this, I harvested some small eggplants from the plants. Having spent that time in my vegetable garden, I then headed back home.

After getting ready, as I headed toward school, I noticed that various types of fish were dying in a pond belonging to one of my older cousins. He had stepped into the pond and was retrieving the sick fish. They were quite large. For some reason, the fish were suddenly falling ill and dying. Many suggested that a significant amount of gas had built up in the water. In reality, because the *pangas* (catfish) in the pond are often overfed, it becomes very difficult for them to survive. Consequently, various treatments are required, and the water needs to be changed. In any case, he had already pulled out many of the fish and was continuing his efforts to remove the rest.

As I continued on my way, I noticed two boys carrying a bird they had caught, heading toward their home. I stopped and asked them to pay attention to me. I explained that wild birds like these enhance our natural beauty; they are the reason our environment is so beautiful. Killing them is not only a sin but also a punishable offense. You are young and may not fully understand, which is why you feel happy about having caught the bird—but remember, these creatures play a vital role in protecting our environment. I told them I never wanted to see anyone catching or harming these birds again. The boys seemed a bit annoyed by what I said, so I spoke specifically to the older boy among them. They made an effort to understand. I pointed out that these birds have very little meat, so what is the point of killing a living creature for no reason? I also added a stern warning: if I ever catch you harming birds like this again, I will hand this photograph over to the police. In the end, after my explanation, they promised that they would never kill birds in this manner again.

The weather today is quite mild. I noticed that the sun is nowhere to be seen. On such a cloudy day, conducting an assembly session—complete with a PT (physical training) parade—for the students is a truly pleasant experience; no matter how much PT they do, they neither break into a sweat nor feel exhausted. Consequently, we spent a good amount of time with the students on the school grounds today, carrying out PT during the assembly session.

It has been drizzling here since around ten o'clock this morning. Amidst this light rain, I noticed the flowers in our garden swaying beautifully. Tiny raindrops have settled on the petals, making the flowers look truly lovely. I took some photographs of the Aparajita (butterfly pea) flowers.

Later, around midday, I went to a chicken shop and bought a three-kilogram broiler chicken. I often try to arrange for meat for my family’s meals. Yesterday, there was a special offer at this shop, but today the price was 10 taka higher; still, I decided to go ahead with the purchase. All the chickens were of the same size. I was quite pleased to get such a fine, three-kilogram bird, as smaller chickens generally don’t taste as good.

Later in the afternoon, I went to tutor one of my students. After the lesson, I learned that my child needed medicine for a fever. I traveled two kilometers to get it. Upon arriving, I consulted a doctor, explaining that my child had been suffering from a persistent fever for some time. The doctor prescribed initial treatment for a cold, fever, and cough, adding that if the fever does not subside, the child will need to be given antibiotics. That is how I spent some significant moments today.
