The Diary Game: [8/09/2026] Having A Good Time At Home, And Visiting A Friend

Greetings my wonderful people! Welcome to another diary of yours truly @jebassey. I hope you all had a wonderful day, as mine was very much interesting. Walk with me as I take you through how my day unwrapped.

‎In the morning I woke up with a rather positive mind than yesterday. I had managed to sleep early yesterday night and my body had attained a rest level that I've not had for quite a while now. With waking up so energized that way, I decided to go with the flow. I did small indoor push-ups and sit-ups, and before other of my siblings could wake, I had already completed a few reps. I took my shower immediately after and joined my family members for morning prayers. ‎Soon after we finished, I didn't want today to be drabbed for me. Since I wasn't gonna step out to anywhere, not work, not visitation, I had to improvise something and make my day at home worthwhile.

Here again, I had the thoughts of cooking for the house, just to surprise them small with a little of my treat. But before then, I had breakfast from what my Jnr sister had prepared. It wasn't something much, just bread with fried eggs. I didn't eat plenty because I knew I was going to cook, and I wanted to eat my food to the fullest, so I reserved some stomach space for that later food. After having my breakfast, I had already decided on what to cook. There's this plantain we have at our backyard and I've been eying it for days now, so I thought it'll suit well if I used it to feed home today. I got it cut from its stand and began with my preparations.

Going into the cooking process, I peeled each of the plantain neatly and washed them carefully, getting them ready for the next stage. At some point, I thought maybe I could just do two different cookings, but my materials were limited and so I had to work with what was available.

Other condiments I was going to use were made ready, with that the cooking wasn't stressful, not even a bit. After a few hour had passed, I was done with my recipe. Honestly, the taste was far better than the look. At first, my brother was sluggish about bringing his plate to get his own share. But just after he had a little taste of it from my sister's plate, he urged me to scoop for him immediately. Last time I was cheated from the share of food I got, even at the fact that it was my own cooking. This time I didn't want to take chances, so I secured my own share with a comfortable quantity before dishing out to others.

‎Like I said earlier, the taste was far better than the looks. I turned to myself and said: "Oh this boy is a chef. Grab me now before it's too late". Anyways that was me trying to feel myself. I took my time to enjoy the meal such that I could not get myself to stand immediately I was done eating. I settled there for a while before clearing the space.

Just after I finished eating, I decide to take a rest. But then I received a call from my friend urging me to come over to his place. He was sounding very serious as if it was a matter of urgency, so I left what I was going to do and made my way to his place. When I arrived there, I nearly punched that boy on the face. He just wanted me to come around to get something he had gotten for me, whereas I was over here worried on what could have possibly caused the emergency call. Well, I couldn't stay angry at him forever, and again he had gotten something for me, so that alone was able to shut me up. To my greatest surprise, it wasn't something small at all. My friend had gotten a collection of stuffs for me. That was when I even told him he would have added something more important as information to the emergency call he called earlier so that I would have gotten here faster than I did. Honestly, I was amazed and out of words from the gifts I received.

‎I thanked him most especially for the concern and care he had towards me. It had added to the brightness of my day. Thereafter, we spent some times playing games and seeing movies till it was late enough for me to take my leave. As I reached the house, I showed everyone that gifts I had received while shouting all over the house. After everyone in the house took their views on the gifts, I packed them back perfectly to my room. Later, I had my dinner and allowed myself to rest. And yeah, what would I gain without sharing this beautiful story with you guys? Nothing really tho. Now, that's how my day unfolded. Thank you for sparing your time to read.
